Tuck into some bush tucker, encounter native wildlife or browse a huge array of Top End native plants - including 2000 of them for FREE!

  • Learn about pruning, planting, mulching, irrigation & pest management, converting thirsty lawns to low maintenance native gardens, or how to bring more wildlife to your backyard.

  • Grab some free plants at City of Darwin’s Native Plant Giveaway (0830-11.00am). Or purchase from a range of 150+ native species, in many sizes, at heavily discounted prices.

  • Join interpretative walks on botanical and Larrakia plant uses, or have a yarn with ABC Radio Darwin’s Saturday Gardener (0830-11.00am).

  • Put your backyard bugs under the microscope, test your soils, book a free home garden biodiversity visit.

  • Identify your plants and weeds, learning which is friend or foe - with help from native botanical gurus.

  • Learn about native wildlife; from butterflies & birds to snakes & possums. Or sample some native bee ‘sugar bag’ honey.

  • Visit Kids Corner for STEM activities, botanical laser labs, microscope fun, arts and crafts or an Eco-Quiz scavenger hunt!

  • Sample Native Botanicals at the on-site Gin Bar. Or just lounge on a bean bag with a bite to eat and cool drink, savouring the serenity while listening to passionate local experts at Speakers Corner.
