What is tube stock?

Tube stock refers to the container that we grow the plants in. It is a taller but smaller container than the typical plant pot you see in most nurseries. Territory Native Plants that are planted young will in many cases outperform those planted in larger pots or bags. That’s why TNP specialise in smaller tubes, ensuring minimal disturbance to root and tree development during early growth. All tubes feature root trainers and bottomless air-pruning design, maximising root growth while minimising the risk of ‘spiralling’ or ‘root binding’. This ensures your plants are ready to thrive as soon as they are planted!

“Local native plants have many unique features that make them ideal for Top End gardens and landscapes. Importantly they tend to be low on maintenance and watering requirements.”

We’re passionate about native NT plants

With the help of our wide and wonderful team of qualified horticultural staff and volunteers, TNP propagate over two hundred and fifty species common to the Top End’s wet dry tropics, including large termite resistant shade trees, bird and butterfly attracting feature plants and fragrant, flowering native shrubs. TNP also specialise in a large range of cyclone resistant native shade trees suitable for woodland, coastal, monsoon forest and riverine habitats.
